On the evening of October 20th, the Teaching and Research Section of the Translation Department of the School of Language and Culture held online seminars on matters such as the training of translation professionals and professional qualification assessment.
Hu Daohua, director of the teaching and research section, summarized the training of translation professionals, and introduced the specific requirements, material preparation and precautions for the professional qualification assessment work. All professional teachers in the teaching and research section conducted extensive discussions, and clarified the basic school-running policy of fully implementing the party's education policy and implementing the fundamental task of cultivating people, and clarified professional positioning such as professional construction planning, talent training goals, and professional characteristics and advantages. The teachers exchanged measures and achievements in the construction of teachers' ethics, and discussed many specific issues such as training programs for translation professionals, curriculum setting, teaching material construction, ideological and political education, school conditions, books and materials, and quality management.
In this seminar, the teachers of the translation teaching and research section not only reached a consensus on professional construction and personnel training, but also improved their understanding of various fields such as the teaching and research of this major, and enhanced effectiveness of the teaching and research section.
