SHUPL Overseas Lectures | Current Economic Landscape of Belarus and Prospects for China-Belarus Economic Cooperation

On the afternoon of March 27, the 127th session of SHUPL Overseas Lectures – titled Current Economic Landscape of Belarus and Prospects for China-Belarus Economic Cooperation – was successfully delivered by Professor Anna Koroleva, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Belarusian State University, and hosted by Professor Liu Xian, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law. 

During the lecture, Professor Anna Koroleva provided a comprehensive analysis of Belarus' current economic conditions, highlighting developments in core industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, and the digital economy. She also discussed Belarus' recent policy reforms to deepen economic restructuring, improve the business environment, and enhance foreign investment cooperation. Professor Anna Koroleva emphasized the significant progress in China-Belarus economic collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative, particularly in projects like the China-Belarus Industrial Park "Great Stone", scientific innovation, and agricultural trade. She further noted the vast potential for cooperation in higher education, technology exchange, and financial investment.

 In the interactive session, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as Prospects for China-Belarus Collaboration in AI and the Digital Economy and University Policies on Student Use of AI Tools. 

 Professor Koroleva concluded by sharing insights on how AI could drive economic growth, drawing from Belarusian and global experiences.
